Keep it together

I love the BLT in almost ANY form, with almost any alteration or addition. Especially one with slices of thick cut, smoked, crisp bacon, an almost overripe beefsteak tomato, and arugula. One thing I don't like about the BLT: When my bacon falls out. Call me OCD, call me a perfectionist, call me overly sensitive, I get it, but I HATE when I can't handle my food easily to cram it in my pie hole. A friend of mine introduced me to weaving my bacon (no lace front necessary).

Ingredients:
A LOT OF DELICIOUS BACON

1. CUT three strips of bacon in half
2. WEAVE bacon over & under to form a waffle weave.

3. Tuck the ends to form some semblance of a square
4. Fry (or bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes) until crisp

5. Assemble sandwiches

  2. Okay, weaving the bacon is genius! My husband thinks I'm nuts that I want my bacon evenly spread out and in proportion to the other ingredients. Thanks for the idea!

    1. I swear it tastes better in my slightly OCD mind when I know I won't have a handful of shenanigans.
